Guest ame767
some discusion today re having a requirement for an ame on the exec. board of this new assn. i've read the constitution and it only refers to the mtc standards co-ordinator 'should' have a current ame....article II section 9SECTION 9.The Maintenance Standards Co-ordinator shall act as a liaison agent between the Ministry of Transportation and the membership. He shall keep a current and complete Canadian Aviation Regulations library, and keep the membership informed of the proposed regulation changes that take effect that are pertinent to the work of the membership. He shall maintain a Technical library and assist in any way possible for members to obtain licenses. He shall, in general, work toward the maintenance of high aircraft maintenance standards. Local Standards Chairmen shall provide the Co-ordinator with such reports as are required. The Maintenance Standards Co-ordinator should be the holder of a current AME.that said i think that the executive should have an extremely good working knowledge of what ALL the skilled trades do and what their responsibilities are.
