In The News Posted March 11, 2018 Share Posted March 11, 2018 A local tour helicopter crashed into the East River near Gracie Mansion late Sunday afternoon. The accident was caught on a cellphone camera by Fox News and is reproduced here. First responders were on the scene but there were no early reports of injuries or deaths. The helicopter is believed to be a Eurocopter AS350 and reported to be inverted in the water. The footage suggests the aircraft may have been equipped with skid floats.
