The same scenerio happened to my cousin and it devasted her in a way none of us can understand unless it happens to you. She lost the ability to differentiate between a man who loved her for what she was and the man who just wanted to control her. She chose the control freak and her marriage was a disaster. I know you can't veto who you daughter marries but at least you can keep your eyes open. I can't expain it but the trauma at that age has something to do with the choise of a spouse.
