For anyone that is interested.... this is how it works.....

Pick you two numbers.

The first one is x and the second y.

To make them a two digit number multiply x by 10 and add y.

So your number is....

10x+y

You are told to add the two digits together and subtract that from the original number....

10x+y-(x+y)

which is

10x+y-x-y

or

10x-x+y-y

or

(10x-x)+(y-y)

which is

(9x)+(0)

which is simply

9x

so you will always get 9 times the first digit in your original 10 digit number.

The icons at the end are all the same for the 9 times table

9, 18, 27, 36, 45, 54, 65, 72 and 81

..and the "table" moves the icons each time you play so it looks like the computer is guessing a different icon each time...... as well perhaps a real simple way to understand the system is ........... if you choose a two digit number from 10 to 19 and then subtract the the sum of the two digits from your number you will always get 9 as an answer.

If you choose 20-29, and subtract the sum of the two digits you will always get 18.

The 30s = 27

The 40s = 36 and so on...the answer always being a muliple of 9

The symbol screen does not stay on your computer screen too long but look closely and quickly and you will see that 9,18,27,36. etc are all the same symbol....but if you play again the symbol forthe mutiples of 9 will change...oooooooohh spooooky....

PS...N8 is absolutely correct but for pilots who forgot algebra when they left school I have attempted to put it in s-i-m-p-l-e termsuser posted image
