If one starts a thread, one can not delete their original post....there is no "delete" button...........but if you post a reply to someone who replied to your post....you can delete your own reply cause a "delete" button comes up. I guess the only way a poster can delete his original post is to go in an "Edit it" and post "nothing" I think that is how it works...could be wrong Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I guess (and it is a wild guess ) that the inability to delete the originating post in a thread is due to the effect on subsequent posts or Not I do like the new forum and in particular like the ability to display only new posts and then the subsequent ability (by looking at who made the recent post) to determine if I want to read it or not.
