Fido
This link will take you to a long interview with David Neeleman, JetBlue, WestJet, Southwest, MorrisAir. http://www.sfgate.com/cgi-bin/article.cgi?...BUGVS8LL121.DTL He has some interesting points: 1. Are legacy airlines dead? I don't think it's dead. I think that there will be a certain shakeout in the industry. 2. On the Southwest 'model': we thought they may be a little too much of a prisoner to their success. 3. On unions: We don't want a third party who may or may not have our best interests in mind or our crew members' best interests in mind because they may be serving a union of one of our competitors. 4. Salaries: You continue to bring people into the company and income-average those salaries. 5. Fast growth: And the second thing is that because you have too many planes or too many stores open or whatever, you basically don't have any more business. Have a read.
