Note the dates on the application, ZIP going Overseas with "large" a/c. Wonder how many lawyers ACPA will have to hire to review the legality of this one!?

Sorry for the bad link on my previous post (just delete one of the surplus http://) Here's the 2nd application for overseas charter work, in addition to scheduled overseas by ZIP.

From the ruling

1. The Licensee is authorized to operate a scheduled international service between points in Canada and points in the United States of America.

2. The operation of the scheduled international service authorized herein shall be conducted subject to the appropriate provisions of the Agreement and to any arrangements related thereto as may be agreed to between Canada and the United States of America

I'm not sure what "large" aircraft constitutes but this is only for any potential transborder services they may try to launch. Steve Smith was all over the news on this the other day. Decision is dated 04 April.

The licences are for transborder. Large aircraft are defined by the CTA as: ""large aircraft" means an aircraft equipped for the carriage of passengers and having a certificated maximum carrying capacity of more than 89 passengers; (gros aéronef)"

There has been a long standing rumour (from six months ago) that up to 6 of the 767-200's were to put into Tango to serve domestic routes in the summer and then Florida and the Carribean in the winter. Perhaps this is the culmination of that concept but using Zip instead.
