Guest2
Quebec court, most of the workers from Montreal. Hmmmmm Quote Former workers of Aveos win their battle against Air Canada | CBC News In her 154-page decision, Judge Hivon ordered the airline to compensate workers for the loss of income and employment, as well as for the loss of social benefits. Air Canada will also have to compensate the workers for "stress, questioning, decrease in self-esteem, insecurity, feelings of injustice and loss of enjoyment in life." It will also have to pay individual claims for those who suffered moral damages such as psychological problems, insomnia, family problems, divorce and suicide. However, Judge Hivon found that the former Aveos employees had not demonstrated that the collapse of Aveos was caused by bad faith or wilful misconduct of Air Canada. She therefore dismissed the claim of $110 million in punitive damages.
Guest2
FTQ seeks to force Air Canada to reopen Aveos plant | CBC News I wonder why there are no damages found against the Province of Quebec and just only AirCanada? Quote The Quebec government had initially promised to defend the former Aveos employees as Air Canada vowed to appeal the case all the way to the Supreme Court. But Quebec and Air Canada agreed to put the case on hold as part of the airline's decision to buy at least 45 Bombardier C-Series jets. Quebec gave Bombardier a $1.32-billion subsidy last fall in an effort to save its passenger jet program. Serge Cadieux, the FTQ's secretary general, accused the Quebec government of striking a deal with Air Canada behind the back of the unions representing the former Aveos workers. So nothing happens and I would imagine AC will take it to the SCOC if they are pushed by more legal minions to start coughing up some cash. The likely outcome is that the rule of the Quebec court will be upheld by our present Federal Government who like "Trump" seem to be unable to admit to a mistake or indeed to take a balanced stand.

J.O.
All of which has nothing to do with the Aveos situation. Try avoiding straw man arguments. 2
