Guest ken hickerson
Well here is a rumour for all-including ACR.I have heard from more than one person that regional will come under the AC tech-ops umbrella in the spring. Now that will be very interesting considering that they are represented by a CAW. What if it happens? Can AC work with two seperate unions? I don't thinks so - but...??If it happens wouldn't we all have to vote on which union represents us?Lots of 'what if's, I know, but its nice to fantasize about the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow (even if it doesn't exist). Guest Canmech
Hi Ken,We also heard this rumour in Vancouver last fall when Robin Wohnsigl paid us a visit on the ramp.He stated that ACR maintenance personnel could possibly be a part of Tech Ops by the end of 2002.It sounds like they might be expediting the process if this rumour is true.If so,I believe the I.A.M. would be looking at a 'representation vote' to determine which union the members would like.We are definitely in for an interesting year.Later Canmech!
