Specs
Dare I say it - "Cool" or maybe "Slick" I saw that DC-3 in the backgound as well and wondered how the hell they're gonna get the thing out of there in those temperatures - Ice Breaker? I recall a few hot days wondering if we were going to fly, or drive, to narita... The -500 on the other hand. A real teacher of rotation discipline. J.O.
There aren't many times when I am truly jealous of another aviator, but this is definitely one of them. Very cool. Edited November 24, 2021 by J.O.

Floyd
PWA used to operate the 727 on ice regularly in the arctic islands. The runway had to be a minimum of 5000' x 200' x 5'. I could be wrong on the the length, it might have been 6000'.

Yeah, being based in DEL on the 343 there were a few times when it was a challenge to meet the 35’ scream height.
