One stunning afternoon: Setbacks imperil Biden’s reset

SEN. TED CRUZ (R-TX): I’ll tell you, I’ve been to the border. I’ve been to the Biden cages. For four years, Democrats went on and on and on, the corrupt corporate media went on and on and on about kids in cages. You couldn’t turn on the evening news without ‘hearing kids in cages.’

What they didn’t tell you is Barack Obama built those cages. And today under Joe Biden, the cages are bigger and they’re more full than they were before. Mr. President, every Democrat who stood up and lamented kids in cages, in the House of Representatives, Representative Ocasio-Cortez, has a famous photo of her grasping her head by the kids in cages. Well, I’m going to give a simple challenge for Representative Ocasio-Cortez and for every Democrat in this body. Go see the Biden cages with your own eyes.

I’ve seen them in the Donna tent facility with over 4,000 people, with little boys and little girls on top of each other. Just a couple of weeks ago, when I was in the Rio Grande Valley, the rate of COVID positivity in the Biden cages was over 22%.

And all the Democrats who talked about this, if they don’t go, if they don’t denounce the Biden cages, then they’re telling you that they’re hypocrites, that they didn’t believe it when they said it, that they didn’t care about it when they said it, that it was all politics. It wasn’t about their kids.

Why does Joe Biden refuse to go to the Rio Grande Valley? Because if he goes, the TV cameras will come with him. Why does Kamala Harris, who’s supposed to be the border czar, she’s supposed to be in charge of this, why won’t she go to the Rio Grande Valley? Because if she went, the TV cameras would come and would show the Biden cages.

And the Democrats are counting on the corrupt corporate media to suddenly say nothing to see here. 15,000 Haitians under a bridge in Del Rio. Nothing to see here. Anyone want to know what Joe Biden’s favorite ice cream flavor is? That’s the news!

Nevermind 1.2 million illegal immigrants. Nevermind when I took 19 senators down to the border, we went out on the river and saw a man floating dead in the river, who died trying to cross illegally. Nevermind the South Texas farmers and ranchers, the moms who told me, ‘I won’t let my teenage kids go out on our ranch without being armed with a loaded firearm because there are so many human traffickers and narcotics traffickers that it’s dangerous for them to go out on their own ranch.’ Nevermind the South Texas farmers and ranchers who told me at roundtables, how tired they are of going out and finding dead bodies.

You want to understand what’s happening? Say there’s no crisis? Come to Brooks County. I invite every Democrat here to Brooks County. Brooks County in South Texas, it’s just north of the border. Brooks County over and over and over again. There are dead bodies of illegal immigrants. The traffickers who are bringing them in, they’re not nice guys. They’re not humanitarians. They don’t give a damn. That means if one of the illegal immigrants is a pregnant woman, is a young child, is elderly, is sick, they just abandon them. They leave them in the rough terrain in the summer heat and over and over again the farmers and ranchers encounter dead bodies on their property where the traffickers have abandoned them.

File under 'cultural accommodation'....

Afghan Evacuees at Fort McCoy Face Charges of Domestic Violence, Sex with Minors

Thu 23 Sep 2021 - Military.com
By Konstantin Toropin

"DoD cultural-awareness training for U.S. personnel deploying to Afghanistan and two Human Terrain System Reports identified child sexual abuse as a culturally accepted practice in Afghanistan,"

Two Afghan evacuees who were living at Fort McCoy in Wisconsin have been arrested in unrelated cases. One was charged with crimes against minors, the other with assaulting his wife, the Justice Department announced Wednesday.

Bahrullah Noori, 20, has been indicted on four charges that allege he engaged in sexual acts with minors. According to court documents, Noori touched the genitals of one victim in three separate instances, once using force, in the barracks and bathroom at Fort McCoy. The indictment also alleges that he tried to engage in an unspecified sexual act with another minor victim.

According to court documents, the victims were between 12 and 16 years old. A gender was not given for either.

In the other case, Mohammad Haroon Imaad, 32, allegedly assaulted and strangled his wife on Sept. 7. The woman, who is also an Afghan refugee and is identified only by initials in court papers, reported the alleged assault to soldiers on base, who then moved her to an all-female barracks.

The criminal complaint says that the woman told soldiers that her husband "beat me many times in Afghanistan to the point I lost vision in both eyes."

"She stated that she had been the victim of hitting, strangulation, verbal abuse as well as rape since arriving to Fort McCoy at the hands of Mohammad Imaad," the complaint says.

At one point, the woman told service members that she was concerned for the safety of her mother, who was living in an all-female barracks on base. Soldiers detained Imaad just outside the mother's room, court documents say.

Both men have been arraigned and are being detained at the Dane County Jail, according to the Justice Department.

The incidents appear to be the first instances of significant crimes on U.S. soil by any of the more than 60,000 Afghan evacuees, many of whom worked with U.S. service members in Afghanistan, who are making their way into the country.

The Department of Defense has, in the past, dealt with instances of child sexual abuse perpetrated by Afghan people who worked closely with U.S. forces. A 2017 Inspector General report found that troops were effectively told to ignore any child sexual abuse they encountered.

"DoD cultural-awareness training for U.S. personnel deploying to Afghanistan and two Human Terrain System Reports identified child sexual abuse as a culturally accepted practice in Afghanistan," the report said.

Meanwhile, a 2018 UN report noted that violence against women had been “widespread throughout Afghanistan, notwithstanding the Government’s concrete efforts to criminalise these practices and establish measures for accountability.”

The UN report noted that Afghanistan had an underlying cultural norm that sexual and domestic violence were “private family matters” and, as a result, reporting of incidents was rare. The report also concluded that “that the vast majority of murder and ‘honour killings’ of women resulted in impunity for the perpetrator.

News of the arrests comes amid broader concerns for the health and safety of the refugees at Fort McCoy. John Kirby, the Department of Defense's chief spokesman, said that officials are aware of reports that refugees lack food and clothing, as well as alleged harassment of women by former Afghan soldiers.

"I know of no specific request today to conduct an investigation, but the secretary is certainly mindful of the reports," Kirby said Wednesday. "We're certainly aware of these reports ... and we take it very, very seriously."

U.S. Reps. Gwen Moore, D-Wis., and Ilhan Omar, D-Minn., have called on Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin to investigate possible mistreatment or neglect at Fort McCoy.

If convicted, Noori faces a mandatory minimum penalty of 30 years and a maximum of life in federal prison on the charge alleging use of force, and a maximum penalty of 15 years on the other charges, according to the Justice Department.

Imaad faces a maximum penalty of 10 years.

Helping plan a rally doesn't mean helping commit a crime of entering congress illegally. But those on the left will desperately try to tie the two together to put their opponents in jail. Kind of like what happened in the past. Then again, I suppose making up a story and following through about collusion with Russia to take down a presidency could be considered as treason.

Definition of treason:

trea·son
/ˈtrēzən/

noun

  1. the crime of betraying one's country, especially by attempting to kill the sovereign or overthrow the government.

So yes, planning an insurrection against the government does qualify as treason.
Also, like the Russian investigation, hundreds of charges were laid, and convictions are being meted out.

    So the two aren't comparable.

OMG…Is this woman for real?? Does she think they will pick leaves off a money tree?

REPORTER: I want to ask you about what Republicans are pointing to in the analysis from the Joint Committee on Taxation. They say, according to — if I’ve read the chart correctly, more than 16 percent of taxpayers would see their taxes increase under the bill that’s approved by the House Ways and Means Committee. Will the President sign that bill if — as if — it is coming out of that committee? Or will he insist on the changes so that he will maintain his commitment that taxes won’t go up on people making $400,000 a year?

PSAKI: I have not looked at the document or the report that you have put out. Obviously, the President — or that you have referenced, I should say — that the Republicans put out.

Obviously, the President’s commitment remains not raising taxes for anyone making less than $400,000 a year. There are some — and I’m not sure if this is the case in this report — who argue that, in the past, companies have passed on these costs to consumers. I’m not sure if that’s the argument being made in this report. We feel that that’s unfair and absurd, and the American people would not stand for that.

Jesus !!! Literally !

Police Seize Enough Opioids To Kill 50 Million People, Two Arrested

Two people in Perris, California, have been charged with drug-related felonies after police seized enough opioids to kill 50 million people in what police believe is the largest seizure of a drug known as carfentanil in Riverside County history.

The District Attorney’s office published a press release last week announcing the bust, saying police seized 21 kilos of what is believed to be carfentanil, an opioid far more potent than fentanyl. The DA’s office explained just how potent each opioid is:

Carfentanil is an analog of the manmade opioid fentanyl. It is highly regulated and not intended or approved for use on humans. And it is more potent and potentially much more deadly than fentanyl.

Fentanyl is 50 times more potent than heroin and 100 times more potent than morphine. It only takes about two milligrams of fentanyl to be a fatal amount.

Carfentanil is 100 times more powerful than fentanyl and 10,000 times more potent than morphine. A lethal dose of carfentanil in humans would be at the nanogram level – much smaller than the two milligrams of fentanyl that can kill.

As the DA explained, mixing the carfentanil seized last week with other drugs had the potential to kill more than 50 million people.

Andres Jesus Morales, 30, and Alyssa Christine Ponce, 27, were arrested and charged with “four felonies for possession for sales of fentanyl, cocaine, and heroin.”

Outrage Erupts After Leftists Chase Sinema Into Bathroom, Record Her: ‘This Is Insane’

Outrage erupted on Sunday afternoon after a group of leftists chased Sen. Kyrsten Sinema (D-AZ) into a bathroom and recorded her while they demanded that she pass Biden’s agenda.

The far-left activists repeatedly pushed Democrat President Joe Biden’s “Build Back Better” agenda while harassing Sinema in the bathroom.

Top responses online to the incident included:

  • Adam Paul Laxalt, U.S. Senate candidate: “The radical left is threatening and chasing a sitting U.S. Senator around because she won’t bend to their demands. This is what we’re up against. @CatherineForNV has enabled this conduct from her party.”
  • James Gagliano, 29th Mayor of Village of Cornwall-on-Hudson: “This is where, during different times, we’d direct police to halt the harassment. This isn’t 1Am privilege or protest. It’s harassment. But we’ve stood law enforcement down and this is ‘new normal’ it begets. We should all be disgusted by this — no matter one’s political stripe.”
  • Meghan McCain, Daily Mail: “Harassing someone in the bathroom is really a way to be heard and taken seriously.”
  • Caroline McCarthy, political commentator: “I don’t care how much they suck as human beings. Following anyone into a bathroom and recording them is disgusting, intrusive, and creepy. Do not normalize this behavior.”
  • Christina Pushaw, press secretary for Ron DeSantis: “Only in America would an illegal alien be able to attend a taxpayer funded university, chase a US Senator into a bathroom to harass her, brag about it publicly, and be praised rather than instantly deported. Seriously, if an American went to any foreign country and tried something like this, they would be arrested and deported. And that would be fair. Also, the illegal immigration activists in this video are saying that they knocked on doors to get Sinema elected in the first place. How is that NOT foreign election interference, if they aren’t citizens? Did they vote?”
  • Rep. Adam Kinzinger (R-IL): “This is insane. Stop this madness people, doesn’t help your cause even if it makes you feel better.”
  • Matt Whitlock, Republican strategist: “Wait WHAT? If you’re a male following a female senator into the bathroom and shouting at her through a stall door, you’ve lost the plot. This is a dangerous escalation from liberal protestors.”
  • Josh Holmes, political strategist: “That flushing you hear is the middle of the electorate for Democrats across the country.”
  • Bryan Dean Wright, former CIA officer: “Dear @SenatorSinema, Declare yourself an Independent and caucus with Republicans. We could use an emergency brake on this madness. Sincerely, [an] Arizona Voter.”
  • Joseph A. Wulfsohn, Fox News reporter: “Whether it’s Sarah Huckabee Sanders or Ted Cruz at a restaurant, Mitt Romney on an airplane, Kyrsten Sinema in a restroom, or Joe Manchin at his houseboat, no one deserves this kind of harassment regardless of their politics.”
  • Kevin Ring, political activist: “Embarrassing enough to do it. But to record and post it is really something.”
  • Amanda Carpenter, columnist: “Protesters followed Sinema into a bathroom to film themselves confronting her. This is over the line. Gross, unnecessary, and counterproductive. Get a grip.”
  • Jack Posobiec, Human Events editor: “These criminal insurrectionists are stalking a female US Senator while she goes to the bathroom They could have killed Kyrsten Sinema[.] Where is @CapitolPolice?”
  • Ryan James Girdusky: “In what other country could a senator be harassed by someone illegally in the country and brag about being in the country illegally? She should be deported immediately.”
  • Cameron Cawthorne, Fox News editor: “It’s bad enough this group thought following Sinema into the bathroom would help their cause, but they recorded it AND posted it on their Twitter account.”
  • Gabriella Hoffman, writer: “Harassing U.S. Senators in the bathroom = restoring democratic norms? Ridiculous times we’re in.”
  • Michael Muscato, former Democrat congressional candidate: “Following people into a bathroom is unacceptable. Following people into a bathroom while recording video and audio is an invasion of privacy. This isn’t the way to change anything.”
  • Stephen Miller, former Trump official: “An illegal alien is stalking a US Senator to demand passage of Biden’s reconciliation bill b/c it includes mass amnesty for illegals. In a functioning democracy, ICE would swiftly deport this person, but under Biden’s new edict (as the lawbreaker knows) she’s immune from removal. We’re now the sole country in world where illegal aliens freely harass lawmakers, demand lavish benefits, & do so with total impunity from removal. As this appalling video shows, the ‘build back better’ plan is a Trojan Horse for amnesty & sovereign dissolution. Defeat the bill.”

Let’s Go Brandon’ Song Soars To No. 1 Spot On iTunes Hip Hop Chart

A song based on the anti-Biden chant “Let’s Go Brandon!”  has soared up the charts and now sits at No. 1 on the iTunes hip-hop chart.

Rapper Loza Alexander sings the tune, aptly titled “Let’s Go Brandon.” “In the song’s choruses, a voice repeatedly chants the iconic anti-Biden mantra and is immediately followed by a sample of a crowd chanting the original line, the more rough-and-ready ‘F*ck Joe Biden,'” writes The Post-Millennial.

It seems to me that they might want to be careful using a cartoon like that. With those 59 Cadillacs in the background it looks like that is simply the view of rich old guys. ?
