Tango Foxtrot
Interesting. The gear normally retracts forward.
rudder
Is there a Q400 pilot who can explain why nose gear doors that are normally closed down with normal gear down selection appear open?
Tango Foxtrot
There is severe structural damage. There is no way that gear can be where it is. The forward pressure bulkhead has been ripped out of the airplane.

Tango Foxtrot
Notice the batteries have expanded the nose as the gear went through.

They are electronically sequenced not mechanically. When the gear "failed" the prox sensors would be out of position. Thats gonna be a bugger to fix.
