He says it was a difficult decision for the company because of its impact on people. I had never heard of Canadian Tire Sports Stores, now I see why since they all appear to be in Ontario. But the reason for the closures is a puzzler when you take into account the following " Meanwhile, the decision came as Hicks told investors that the company's fourth-quarter results were "nothing short of phenomenal" and that its full-year results were strong despite the challenges of operating during a pandemic. The retailer said its net income attributable to shareholders totalled $488.8 million or $7.97 per diluted share for the quarter ended Jan. 2."

Wolfhunter 1,052
People should take a moment and consider how all of this will look 50 years from now. It's like a new religion (cult maybe) but perversely, it's largely supported by people who openly ridicule religion, we've seen the memes right here. The acolytes subscribe to a twisted version of the very affliction they ridicule others for. https://video.foxnews.com/v/6233884972001#sp=show-clips Edited Saturday at 11:13 AM by Wolfhunter

deicer 816
It's going to get interesting. Even the trump appointees on the court voted against him. https://www.reuters.com/article/us-usa-court-trump-taxes-idUSKBN2AM1MN U.S. Supreme Court paves way for release of Trump's tax returns WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Donald Trump suffered a major setback on Monday in his long quest to conceal details of his finances as the U.S. Supreme Court paved the way for a New York City prosecutor to obtain the former president’s tax returns and other records as part of an accelerating criminal investigation. The justices without comment rebuffed Trump’s request to put on hold an Oct. 7 lower court ruling directing the Republican businessman-turned-politician’s longtime accounting firm, Mazars USA, to comply with a subpoena to turn over the materials to a grand jury convened by Manhattan District Attorney Cyrus Vance, a Democrat. “The work continues,” Vance said in a statement issued after the court’s action. Vance had previously said in a letter to Trump’s lawyers that his office would be free to immediately enforce the subpoena if the justices rejected Trump’s request. Wolfhunter 1,052
https://www.foxnews.com/entertainment/simpsons-recasts-dr-hibbert-voice-actor-harry-shearer You have to wonder what the long term unintended consequences of all this are. Is it acceptable to remove someone from a position based solely on skin colour and should it apply across the racial/gender board? Would I be accused of racism if I suggested people of colour be prohibited from playing the great highland bagpipe because of cultural appropriation. They must only play the type of pipe that originated in the country of their birth or that's applicable to their own culture. How about white kids who take karate lessons? Can a women do a mans voice now? What about a black man doing a white characters voice over? I'm starting to loose sympathy for women sports now. Suck it up and live in the world of stupid you insisted that you wanted..... Edited Tuesday at 05:26 PM by Wolfhunter

I wholeheartedly agree....and I will probably do the same....as long as it’s MY decision to make....but IMO, I don’t think it’s a wise move to put so much trust in governments of Socialist countries. You obviously have more faith in governments than I do. In actual fact I have faith in the various wills that my lawyer drafted up for me including a living POA , a living will etc. etc etc. These documents along with a prepaid Funeral Plan are well worth doing to remove any burden from those who I precede. Noting having them is simply refusing to accept the inevitable as well as placing an unecessary burden on those who I leave behind.
