blues deville
Further info: Osaka based requirement for rated and non-rated A320 Captains. Permanent contracts to age 65. Signing bonus up to $17000US. I would say the pilot shortage is about to get serious. Southwest just signed a 10 year deal with CAE to train 700 cadet pilots. Although the SW payscale is good they are at the bottom end of the US food chain.

I believe that there was an aeromedical risk assessment conducted either out of the UK or by EASA that assigned too high a probability of on duty health related issues for post age 65 pilots. Don’t have the link though. Not sure where ICAO is on this.
