Wonder if it’s worth repairing?

Good question. It’s amazing what Boeing’s repair team can do to restore a damaged plane when it makes sense to do so.  These Boeing’s are in demand as freighters. Perhaps even parted out for spares.

I wonder if this was a training flight? EWR is a busy airport and packs in lots of aircraft. Easy not to be fully stable if given a visual  approach.

My first ride in a real 757 was circuits at night around YMX. There were about eight of us to complete four each on our checkouts. Some upgrade Captains and a few of us initial FO’s. One of the first Captain’s landing was so hard I thought they had seriously broken the plane. No go around but instead exited runway 24 and I thought we were done for the night. But I guess it was just to re-group and we continued to do everyone’s circuits. That cruncher took all the pressure off the rest of us.

So I know that plane will take a beating. Just don’t land it or any other long Boeing nose wheel first.
