StandardAero has won a contract from Air Senegal to maintain the engines of a pair of ATR 72-600 twin-turboprops.

The multi-year agreement covers maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) services, provision of rental engines, availability of mobile repair teams, engineering support, and engine condition trend monitoring, Standard Aero says.

Overhauls will be completed at the US-based MRO specialist's facilities in Gonesse, outside Paris, and Summerside in Canada.

Pratt & Whitney Canada PW127Ms are the sole powerplants available on 600-series ATR 72s and 42s.

Air Senegal technical director Ibrahima Ly says the agreement "confirms our commitment to ensuring the safety of our customers, while also optimising our maintenance costs".

Launching operations in 2018, the carrier also has two Airbus A319ceos, an A330-900 and has an A330neo on order, Cirium's Fleets Analyzer shows.
