“ The Little potato got mashed “

I’m speaking to the man that was Canada’s agriculture minister for almost a decade about China’s latest moves against Canada’s top exports to the second largest economy in the world.

Ritz knows all about how difficult China can be, how they mix trade and politics like few other countries and how they don’t always play fair. In our past conversations, Ritz has been willing to cut Trudeau and his Liberal government some slack on dealings with China, not now.

Now says Ritz, the man the Chinese nicknamed, “little potato” is getting run over by China.

“Trudeau is going to have to do one of his famous flights and get over there,” Ritz said.

So far there hasn’t been a top level delegation to travel to China, we haven’t even appointed an ambassador to replace John McCallum after he was fired.

China is hitting Canada hard economically and the Trudeau government is nothing more than asking for the beatings to stop.

Although they aren’t even being very forceful with that request.

After spending the last few months punishing Canada’s canola producers, China is now building a list of other companies that they could punish.

That from Canada’s former ambassador to China, Guy Saint-Jacques.

“The central government of China has asked all provinces to make a list of all the ongoing transactions with Canadian companies,” Saint-Jacques told CBC the other day.

That prediction came true as the basic dictatorship in Beijing announced that two pork producers in Canada are now banned from sending products to China.

Drummond Export of Quebec has been selling into China for more than 20 years without problems; suddenly they are being suspended over “labelling” concerns. A plant in Red Deer, Alta., from Quebec-based Olymel is also suspended and more are likely to follow.

Peas and soybeans could be next, some sources say that genetics for beef, dairy and pork are already being targeted in a less formal way.

“It’s just a comedy of errors that is turning into an economic disaster,” said Ritz.

Ritz says the Trudeau Liberals are playing into China’s hand by going along with the idea that the labeling of pork or a scientific disagreement on canola is the real reason behind these spats.

“These are political contests, it is not scientific,” Ritz said.

So after canola, soybean, pea and pork producers who will be next and what will our federal government do?

Based on the list of top exports from Canada to China, we could expect wood or paper products to be next, maybe ores, slag and ash — industrial products that China needs.

We could actually cut off something like coal exports but that is unlikely.

Yes, it would make China sit up and take notice but would also hurt our workers.

So far, the Trudeau government has yet to look at retaliatory measures; they haven’t even filed an official trade complaint with the World Trade Organization.

The reality is this fight with China is their attempt to punish Canada over the arrest of Huawei executive Meng Wanzhou. At one point, Trudeau was able to say he couldn’t intervene because Canada’s justice system was based on the rule of law and not political considerations.

Then the SNC-Lavalin scandal hit and Chinese authorities have noticed that Trudeau will bend the rule of law for favoured companies.

Now they are applying pressure to see how long it takes for Canada, under Trudeau, to break.

Our farmers, our producers, are hurting due to Trudeau’s bad decisions.

That is some coffee service!

According to a proactive disclosure, staffers in Justin Trudeau’s PMO spent $548.39 for coffee in a single day this year. And there were only six of them!

Forget Bev Oda’s $16 for orange juice in London, England. This was $548.39 for coffee in London, Ontario.

That works out to $91.40 per person.

What kind of coffee were they drinking? Were the pastries cut up and spoon fed to them by an army of angels?

Did they order the infamous coffee that is digested and then defecated by Indonesian cats?

When the expense was incurred, Trudeau was in London for a cabinet retreat.

Top Canadian Journalist Accuses Justin Trudeau Of Buying Canadian Media To Win Election

CBC and National Post columnist Andrew Coyne stated Justin Trudeau’s $600 million media bail-out will “irrevocably politicize the press” and urged journalists to boycott the panel. Surprising that Mr. Coyne, one of Canada’s pre-eminent journalists, would bite the hand that feeds him.

Finance Minister Bill Moreau stressed the funding would help save newspapers under threat and would “protect the vital role that the independent news media plays in our democracy.”

Democracy? Didn’t know uber-rich Liberal Laurentian Mountain elites gave a damn about democratic process. Throughout Justin Trudeau’s entire run as prime minister he has consistently ignored the will of the majority– immigration quotas,  illegal refugees, citizenship for convicted ISIS terrorists, and much more.

The Trudeau Liberals are a model of virtue-signalling deception. “We cleared a back log of refugees from war-torn nations,” they proudly announce. Translation: Government approved tens of thousands of non-Canadians(many illegal) to enter our country and live off of our tax-payer dollars. Not a single Canadian approved this pointless exercise.

The benefit is limited to government ONLY— it is common knowledge–or should be– that migrants vote for the ruling government at the time they enter the country. So do their family members, and indeed entire ethnic communities. Muslim-Canadians overwhelmingly voted for the Liberals in the 2015 federal election.

Now, Justin Trudeau has taken the very communist path toward controlling Canadian media. The piece media downplay is that they MUST ADHERE to the rules of King Justin to qualify for the grants. No Rebel Media. No Faith Goldy. No media organization with populist leanings will be paid out

Under PM Trudeau, Canada is morphing into a socialist state. Cultural Action Party Of Canada predicted this very thing from DAY ONE. Justin Trudeau, his brother Alexandre and father Pierre Trudeau have all displayed admiration for communist nation of history.

Mr. Trudeau is also attempting to control social media with a  new Charter” entitled   Dimensions: Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion.” “Dimensions” has been distributed to all university presidents, who are urged to sign, endorsing the program for their universities.

Establishment Media. Social Media. Education. Law. Within communist nations, government control ALL ASPECTS of society. Clearly, this is what Justin Trudeau is attempting to entrench within our nation. Not a single citizen approved these actions. That’s not democracy–that’s Trudeau “liberalism.”

Kinsella: Dishonest Trudeau campaign against Scheer must stop

When everyone is a Nazi, no one is a Nazi.

When you falsely insinuate your principal opponent is a Klansman – as Justin Trudeau’s party has done, repeatedly and recklessly, with Andrew Scheer – it fosters cynicism and disbelief.

Most of all – and I say this as someone who has researched, opposed and written about organized hate groups for more than three decades, and has received innumerable death threats along the way – likening a partisan adversary to a white supremacist makes it impossible for activists like me to sound the alarm about real white supremacists.

Despite all that, for many months, Trudeau and his Liberal echo chamber have hissed that the Conservative Party leader is a far-right racist. It has been despicable and dangerous.

The experts agree, too. Gavriel D. Rosenfeld is professor of history at Fairfield University, and he’s the author of The Fourth Reich: The Specter of Nazism from World War II to the Present.

Says Rosenfeld, who knows more about this subject than anyone alive: “Too many hyperbolic comparisons – for example, between Donald Trump and Adolf Hitler – dulls the power of historical analogies and risks crying wolf.”

Crying wolf: That is what Trudeau and his party have been doing. So desperate are they to be re-elected, they have been prepared to imply that Scheer is the worst thing that one can say about anyone: That he is a fascist. That he is an adherent of the ideology of murder.

On Tuesday night, Scheer – finally, firmly – slammed the door on Trudeau’s slur, and strongly condemned organized hate. It was overdue.

There is absolutely no room in a peaceful and free country like Canada for intolerance, racism and extremism of any kind. And the Conservative Party of Canada will always make that absolutely clear,” Scheer thundered in a Toronto speech.

“I find the notion that one’s race, religion, gender, or sexual orientation would make anyone in any way superior or inferior to anyone else absolutely repugnant. And if there’s anyone who disagrees with that, there’s the door. You are not welcome here.”

Diversity is a product of our strength and our strength is and ever has been our freedom. Watch my keynote speech, Unity in Diversity, about welcoming new Canadians and building a stronger Canada. LIVE FROM TORONTO:

For weeks, Scheer had been dogged by an allegation that he willingly appeared onstage at a February “United We Roll” protest in Ottawa with a notorious white supremacist, Faith Goldy. In fact, Goldy was nowhere near Scheer. She wasn’t even in the permitted area, she wasn’t invited to speak, and she was later condemned by official organizers.

Scheer – who, like Trudeau, has had past media encounters with Goldy, before she went full-blown bigot – should have denounced Goldy’s ilk sooner. But this week’s speech has now left no doubt about his views. Haters have no place in his Conservative Party, he said, in the important speech titled “Unity in Diversity.”

Said Scheer: “We should be able to have an immigration debate in this country without the government calling its critics racists and bigots.” Trudeau’s willingness to do so, Scheer added, amounts to “cheap partisanship” and it hurts our collective ability to oppose the very real threats of racism, bigotry and extremism.

If Trudeau wants to denounce real bigotry – and he, and all of us, should – he should train his sights on Maxime Bernier’s People’s Party. Bernier and his cabal have devolved into the porch-light of Canadian politics, attracting all the bugs and the creepy-crawlies. (Which should make it easier to deploy the necessary political insecticide.)

But this dishonest Trudeau campaign against Scheer? It must stop. It has engendered cynicism and distrust, and that’s the last thing any democracy needs in the Trump era.

Scheer has told us where he stands on one of the crucial issues of our time.

Will Trudeau finally heed what he says?

Over a year of debate, questions, answers, non answers, witnesses, letters, e-mails, calls, speakers culminated in a single whipped vote today as C-71 passed in the Senate Chambers. The Standing Committee on National Security & Defence that studied this bill heard from 81 expert witnesses and debated for over 30 hours on this legislation, a bill that saw opposition of historic proportions.

Senator Plett delivered a damning, remarkable speech to open debate on what was to become the last day of deliberation on C-71. He explored the whipped vote that took place with the ISG (Independent Senators Group), with proof provided in the form of a memo that was circulated to the group. The memo spoke to the importance of showing up for the 3rd reading vote on C-71 today, to ensure they vote as a block.

So much for sober second thought.

In spite of the evidence, against the data and science, and in the face of millions of good Canadians who did nothing to warrant this attack, the Senate chose to rubber stamp the will of the Government.

And what of the criminals? The violent gangs that plague our streets in cities and towns across the country?

Untouched by this legislation. A free pass given.

All of Canada should be concerned, dismayed even.

Your government has chosen to target Canada’s most vetted citizens while placing more burden on an already drowning system, and turning a cheek to crime.

We’ll keep fighting for credible work on crime … and a government brave enough to have the will to tackle that.

Trudeau will have the perfect opportunity to show his commitment to eliminating hate and violence by condemning a rally that is planned for Toronto today, even though the city has not given permits for the rally to proceed.

Rather troubling comments in the above link at the 4 minute mark. You would think that this call for violence would be headline news for Canada’s media....not so much.

Last year’s rally, an official event sanctioned by the Iranian regime, included demonstrators waving the Hezbollah flag and calls by a sheikh from Kitchener’s Islamic Humanitarian Service for the “eradication” of Israelis

If the turd and his band of puppets can criticize and call rascist anybody who questions his policy of migrants illegally entering the country or islamophobic anybody who questions Islam, he should be in full bluster mode on Monday.

Who am I kidding??? ...... it will be crickets 🦗!!!
