Guest
Royal Air Maroc Boeing 787 hits tail of a Turkish Airlines Boeing 777 at Istanbul Atatürk Airport By Bart Noëth - 9 August 2018 On 9 August, a Royal Air Maroc Boeing 787 (CN-RGT) landed from Casablanca and was taxiing to its parking position at Istanbul Atatürk Airport when it hit the tail of a Turkish Airlines Boeing 777 (TC-JJZ), almost ready to fly to New York JFK. While the Boeing 787 is seriously damaged on the right wing, the APU of the Boeing 777 got damaged. Both aircraft are currently grounded. It’s not the first time this year that aircraft collide at the Turkish airport: on 13 May an Asiana Airlines Airbus A330 (HL7792) hit a Turkish Airlines Airbus A321 (TC-JMM). link to article with additional pictures https://www.aviation24.be/miscellaneous/accidents/royal-air-maroc-boeing-787-hits-tail-turkish-airlines-boeing-777-istanbul-ataturk-airport/
