DEFCON
I see the analogy as a cheap shot directed at and intended to malign someone that does a great job answering mostly to anti Trump talking heads with personal opinions. Well, yes, exactly; "someone" who does a great job but your reply was "stop picking on women." Gender has nothing to do with it.

AIP
4 hours ago, Malcolm said: Sims said the new routes and schedules will ease trans-Atlantic travel troubles for local people. "One of the advantages of having a Calgary-based carrier flying out of Calgary is we get to chose our slots that are best for Albertans," he said. "So we'll be flying these international routes between 7 o'clock in the morning and 10 o'clock in the morning." The company said the three new routes will support 650 full-time jobs and $100 million in economic output. Do you think he, or anyone in the PR department read this before issuing it ??? Leaving Europe at between 07:00 - 10:00 (UK) is between midnight and 03:00 Alberta time. He would really have us believe that WJ had a choice of slots in CDG ???? or LGW ???? AC, who have a significant presence at LHR, make adjustments seasonally based on the slots allocated to them. This is part of the reason why some flights in and out, have different times throughout the year. Cmon Man. (NFL Reference)

(CNW Group/WESTJET, an Alberta Partnership) WestJet is launching non-stop service on board its Dreamliners from Calgary to London (Gatwick), Paris and Dublin on April 28, May 17 and June 1, 2019, respectively. Fares to all three cities will be available on westjet.com after 10 a.m. MT today. "Alberta's connectivity to the rest of the world is vital for our economy," said Ed Sims, WestJet President and CEO. "WestJet is investing in Alberta to bring further economic growth, boost tourism to the province, and to further position our city as an international aviation hub. We are excited to bring Albertans to the world and the world to Alberta." The international scheduled service between Calgary and London (Gatwick), Paris and Dublin will support 650 full-time jobs and $100 million in total economic output. This is in addition to WestJet's yearly economic output of more than $5 billion, that supports more than 32,000 direct and indirect jobs in Alberta. Overall WestJet's national economic impact on Canada annually generates $17.4 billion and supports more than 153,000 jobs.* The three new flights from the UK and Western Europe are expected to eventually bring up to 185,000 visitors to Calgary on a yearly basis, helping also increase local tourism. The first of 10 Boeing 787-9 Dreamliners ordered by WestJet will arrive in Calgary early in 2019, with two more arriving by April. The aircraft will operate on domestic flights for crew training and regulatory compliance before the first scheduled international flight in April. WestJet also has options for an additional 10 aircraft to arrive between 2020 and 2024. Hub locations and routes for the remaining seven aircraft have not yet been announced. WestJet's Dreamliners will carry 320 guests in a three-class cabin configuration including the airline's newly revealed Business cabin featuring 16 private pods with lie-flat seats, an upscale Premium cabin and an updated Economy cabin. The Dreamliner route from Calgary to London (Gatwick) will replace the Boeing 767 service that currently operates the route from Calgary. WestJet has optimized connections to and from the airline's network across Canada and Western U.S. through the airline's YYC hub. WestJet is Calgary's largest airline, and by June 2019, will offer flights to 65 non-stop destinations with an average of 1,100 flights per week from YYC. J.O.
It's been a few years and I can't remember, would that be too early for the westbound NATs to be in effect? If so it means random routing your way back, although I suppose many flights to YYC would be routed above the NAT anyways.

AIP
That makes more sense. Can we start an irresponsible press thread now ??? LOL AS for the NAT Tracks, for the most part flights from Canada to Europe and vice versa rarely travel on the NAT Tracks. Most often random routes north of the tracks, but occasionally they will be on them westbound for at least part of the ocean crossing, before breaking off. st27
Won’t the 87 be able levels above the NAT airspace? Random routes shouldn’t be a problem.

Not sure I understand what you are getting at. Random routes are not a problem, and can be filed as needed. Most of the time flights to/from western Canada are on random routes. If you are near, or plan to be close to the NAT tracks you would be required to file one I am guessing The 787 can go to higher levels, but there are also alot of them flying around these days as well.
