The Right Finds the Perfect Weapon Against the Left

Conservatives are using identity politics to destroy liberalism from within.

“ Imagine the perfect political and intellectual weapon. It would disable your adversaries by preoccupying them with their own vanities and squabbles, a bit like a drug so good that users focus on the high and stop everything else they are doing.

Such a weapon exists: It is called political correctness. But it is not a weapon against white men or conservatives, as is frequently alleged; rather, it is a weapon against the American left. To put it simply, the American left has been hacked, and it is now running in a circle of its own choosing, rather than focusing on electoral victories or policy effectiveness. Too many segments of the Democratic Party are self-righteously talking about identity politics, and they are letting other priorities slip.
Of course there is a lot of racism out there, which makes political correctness all the more tempting. Yet polling data suggests that up to 80 percent of Americans are opposed to politically correct thinking in its current manifestations. Latinos and Asian-Americans are among the groups most opposed, and even 61 percent of self-professed liberals do not like political correctness.

So if you are a right-wing, conservative, or perhaps libertarian thinker, and you consider yourself an opponent of political correctness, I have a message: Political correctness, as a movement, is a winning issue for you. It is disabling some of the ideas you don’t like. You might want to celebrate in secret, but celebrate you should. “

Rap Sheet: ***603** Acts of Media-Approved Violence and Harassment Against Trump Supporters

When not calling Trump supporters “Nazis” as a means to dehumanize us, the establishment media like to whine about the lack of civility in American politics, even as they cover up, ignore, downplay, or straight-up approve of the wave of violence and public harassment we are seeing against supporters of President Trump.

It is open season on Trump supporters, and the media is only fomenting, encouraging, excusing, and hoping for more… The media are now openly calling Trump supporters “Nazis” and are blaming Trump for a mass murder he had nothing to do with. This, of course, is a form of harassment because it incites and justifies mob violence.

Here is the list, so far, and remember that if any one of these things happened to a Democrat, the media would use the story to blot out the sun for weeks. Remember how crazy the media went over a nobody rodeo clown who wore an Obama mask, a GOP stafferwho criticized Obama’s daughters? And yet, hundreds of Trump supporters are harassed and brutalized and the media only dutifully report them, if at all. That is because the media are desperate to normalize and justify violence and harassment against Trump and his supporters.

And while the media openly encourage this violence against us, the media also campaign to disarm us, to take away our Second Amendment right to defend ourselves.

This list will be updated as needed. Back-filling it will be an ongoing project…

Here is a video channel dedicated to documenting the dozens and dozens of assaults against Trump supporters.

“ There's another story today about a pornographic, pedophilic middle school sex ed class. As usual, a bunch of 12-year-olds sat around in mixed company and learned about the joys of mutual masturbation, anal sex, and other things. It was all par for the course, sadly. Kids learn about homosexuality and transgenderism in kindergarten these day. By the time they reach middle school, they're hardcore porn addicts "ready" to experiment with oral sex. Children in our country are corrupted so quickly and so efficiently, and often with little resistance from the adults tasked with protecting them.

Now, contrast that with how college students -- young adults -- are treated. They are shielded from opposing opinions. They're given trigger warnings and safe spaces to protect them from challenging ideas. And, though they were "ready" for sex at the age of 10, they won't be "ready" to move out of the house and get a job until somewhere north of their thirtieth birthday.

We are protective where we shouldn't be, and not at all protective where we should be. We've got it all backwards. “

This piece pretty much reflects my own view of Toronto and the municipal election there. At every opportunity, Toronto stands as the argument against election reform and the notion of accepting “popular vote” outcomes at the federal level. Toronto’s madness needs to be fully contained in Toronto and appropriate precautions taken to ensure it doesn't spread.

'Shock' as Macron announces French Nazi collaborator Marshal Pétain to be honoured for wartime service

French President says Pétain, who rounded up thousands of Jews, to be honoured because he was a great First World War soldier

Emmanuel Macron has announced that Marshal Philippe Pétain, the Nazi collaborator whose administration helped deport of tens of thousands of French Jews to death camps, will be honoured at a centenary tribute because he “was a great soldier in World War One.”

France’s leading Jewish organisation, Crif, said it was “shocked” at the decision, which the French President announced on Wednesday.

“I consider it entirely legitimate that we pay homage to the marshals who led our army to victory,” Mr Macron said.

“Marshal Pétain was a great soldier in World War One.”

But Crif leader Francis Kalifat said: “the only thing we remember about Philippe Petain is that he was, in the name of the French people, held in national disgrace during his trial in July 1945.

“I am shocked that we can honour a man who, it must be remembered, was himself responsible for the deportation of Jews from France, including the Vel’ d’Hiv raid .”

Pétain helped lead the French army to victory in the First World War Battle of Verdun, emerging a national hero.

But after the German capture of France in 1940, he was appointed to head the Vichy government, a puppet state set up by the Nazis.

During the following years, over 75,000 Jews in France were rounded up, with the full help of the Vichy police forces, and sent to concentration camps, where they were killed.

This included the Vel’ d’Hiv raid in 1941, when Vichy forces gathered over 13,000 Jews, including thousands of women and children, to send to the gas chambers at Auschwitz.

After the war, Pétain was tried and convicted for treason. His death sentence was commuted to life imprisonment due to his age and First World War service. He died in 1951.étain-honoured-first-world-war-service-1.472148?fbclid=IwAR0mpqoFJpQ946rfxWkubGNv8rGN-5duyrEmkE8m6Zsoai7XXs7xcw1hDks

This clearly doesn't go far enough and will need to be extended to jeans, shoes, boots, gloves etc etc. Maybe the school can produce a list of banned apparel items that parents could consult each morning before school. Clearly one of the largest problems facing poor children is other people's clothes.

Some might assume that my problem with this is a "freedom of choice" issue, and that's only part of it. The bigger issue here IMO is the Liberal Socialist notion that instead of seeking ways to raise a portion of society to a higher standard they choose to reduce a portion of society to a lower one. It's certainly the cheap, easy way to improve optics but, like most policies of this nature, it lacks substance and doesn't work. Thinking it does (or can) is the real danger here and I wonder how many incarnations of this we need to see before we can remember.

GO FISHING, GO TO JAIL – There’s something’s fishy about Bill C-246

To contact your MP, MPP or MLA click here.

Peterborough, Ont: Canadian families who fish together will do time together if Bill C-246 becomes law.

The ‘Modernizing Animal Protections Act” was introduced last week by Liberal MP Nathaniel Erskine-Smith of Toronto. It is being promoted as legislation to ban of the importation of shark fins and outlaw the practice of shark finning in Canadian waters. But that is only the tip of the fin.

An activist coalition of Canadian and U.S. animal rights organizations with a decades-long history of sustained attacks on anglers and farmers quickly supported the private member’s bill. Led by the International Fund for Animal Welfare of Yarmouth, Massachusetts and the Toronto-based Animal Alliance of Canada, these groups have once again come out in strong support of federal legislation which threatens a criminal charge, up to a $10,000 fine and five years jail time for anglers who harvest a few fish for dinner.

Provisions in Bill C-246 clearly make it possible for someone who catches a fish to face criminal prosecution for cruelty to animals. Even the act of baiting a hook with a worm would be considered an act of cruelty according to the Bill.

Specifically, Section 182.1.1 states that:

182.1 (1) Everyone commits an offence who, willfully or recklessly, (b) kills an animal or, being the owner, permits an animal to be killed, brutally or viciously, regardless of whether the animal dies immediately;

This section poses the same threat as the seven previous iterations of similar bills. According to exhaustive legal opinions, for the first time in Canadian history this section would make it an offence to kill an animal brutally or viciously – without defining those terms – and does not exempt from this offence normal hunting and fishing activities. Hunting and fishing necessarily involve the killing of animals. Animal rights groups consistently attempt to portray these traditional Canadian heritage activities as inherently brutal and vicious. If Bill C-246 becomes law, this section will be used by animal rights activists who will employ provisions of the Criminal Code to bring private prosecutions to harass lawful anglers and hunters.

“Once again we see the timeworn tactic by these MP’s and groups of fronting a façade which appears to promote a seemingly reasonable solution to an animal cruelty issue, while concealing the true intention of the legislation,” states Phil Morlock, Government Affairs Chair of the Canadian Sportfishing Industry Association. “The implications of this Bill are chilling. It is a nuclear strike against our outdoor heritage activities and threatens anyone who just wants to take their kids fishing.”

In a classic example of the relentless ‘under the radar’ attacks on the eight million Canadians who enjoy fishing, this Bill copies the same contentious phrasing that directly threatens anglers and which appeared in seven previous government Bills from 1999 – 2008. That legislation had strong support from M.P. Mark Holland who is now Parliamentary Secretary to Minister for Democratic Institutions, Maryam Monsef MP for Peterborough-Kawartha. Mr. Holland was quoted in the November 30, 2015 issue of The Hill Times newspaper as once again drafting similar ‘animal cruelty’ legislation.

“We’re urging all Canadian anglers who enjoy the freedom of fishing with their families without fear of prosecution to contact their Member of Parliament to express their opposition to Bill C-246,” added Morlock.

Anglers can access the contact information of their Member of Parliament by visiting

WATCH: Female Antifa Punches, Spits On Conservative Demonstrators. It Doesn't End Well For Her.

On Saturday, a 19-year-old so-called "anti-fascist" protester was arrested after she punched and spat on demonstrators at a #HimToo rally in Portland.

The #HimToo rally was organized by conservative activist Haley Adams to draw awareness to the sexual victimization of men and the falsely accused. Left-wing counter-protesters showed up to disrupt the event. Demonstrators and at least one reporter on site were harassed and assaulted by the agitators. The rally ended with a total of six arrests.

In footage captured by independent journalist and Quillette Magazine editor Andy C. Ngo, a young Antifa counter-protester later identified as Hannah R. McClintock by the Portland Police Bureau confronts male demonstrators at the rally. Backed by a chant of "We believe survivors" by her fellow Antifa activists, McClintock gets herself into a fighting stance and waves on the demonstrators to apparently engage in a physical altercation with her. She also spits on them as she repeatedly yells the word "b****."

Erasing history one step at a time...

“ Quebec Ministry of Education spends $1.6M to revise high school history textbooks”

References to massacres committed by Indigenous tribes were removed or altered to not "fuel prejudices" or "convey stereotypes"

Quebec’s Ministry of Education and Higher Education recently spent $1.6 million dollars to revise the province’s high school history textbooks.

Among the changes included removing the term “Amerindian” alongside it’s derivatives and excluding references to massacres carried out by the indigenous populations.

The book revised by the ministry was a Pearson textbook called “Chroniques du Québec et du Canada: des origines à 1840.”

A list of the revisions alongside letters sent out by the ministry can be found in French on the Le Devoir website (PDF).

Ministry claims the new revisions fit the Truth and Reconciliation narrative better

In the letters sent to school officials the Deputy Minister’s Office cites The Truth and Reconciliation Commission as being a motivator behind the revisions.

“The replacement of the manuals will be done at no cost to the institutions, since the costs will be borne by the Department,” claims one letter.

Several other changes include removing images of indigenous people at war and several journal entries by French explorer Jacques Cartier.

Historians criticize decision to alter references to massacres committed by local tribes

Historian Denys Delage has come out criticizing the decision, especially with regards to the omission of the “Battle at Baie de Bic” story related by Jacques Cartier. The massacre took place in 1534 when the Iriquois massacred a fleeing group of Mi’kmaq on “Massacre Island” in the St. Lawrence River.

The bloody ordeal was edited out of the textbook because “it could fuel certain prejudices or convey certain stereotypes”.

The island of the Massacre is an old tradition. Aboriginal communities lived with the war too. War is not unique to Europe. There were captives and there were killings. It is absurd to pretend that they are ideal and perfect societies, ” said Historian Denys Delage about the decision.

Edits were also made to accounts of the Lachine massacre, where 1,500 Mohawk warriors descended on a 375 inhabitant settlement in 1689. Edits were made to add nuance to the supposed antagonistic language around the massacre.

Another historian, Gilles Laporte said of the revision that “It was a terrible shelling operation, it was the taxpayers who paid”.

However, the revisions came as something that was expected, according to Laporte.

“I was not surprised because we live in a time when just about every community feels directly targeted or stigmatized,” said Laporte.

More Erasure of History!!

'Not appropriate anymore': Ont. basketball leagues to stop using term 'midget'

A Guelph, Ont., basketball league and Ontario Basketball will drop the term “midget” from their age classifications next year, in an effort to help make the sport more inclusive.

“Midget” is a term that’s long been used in minor hockey, baseball, basketball, lacrosse and many other sports. But it’s also considered an offensive word when used to describe people with dwarfism.

Pretty much exactly what the people in favour of removing the Cornwalls statue swore they didn't aspire to. I wonder if any of them will now stand in opposition to this. A few years ago, I would have guessed this story was a spoof and originated from CBCs This is That... not so much now.

IMO, Andrew Scheer is simply not up to the task of holding this at bay. It will take a "Federal Ford" to get er done. Things of this nature can serve as political turning points for moderate liberals who don't approve of what they see but haven't hit the wall yet. The left's obsession with stone wall construction is unlikely to serve their interests over time.... it will become hard to out crazy the crazies in order to differentiate yourself as a candidate if nothing else. IMO, the federal Conservative Party ideology is now on par with the Liberal one (of old) that many would have labeled moderate. It's not resolute enough to hold back the wave of crazy. For all of those fond of asking where the Trumps and Fords come from, this type of stuff is it.

What Canada needs is a Jordan Peterson type of personality ...preferably Peterson transform Conservatism into an electable party for the ages.

I don’t think Scheer is going to cut it next election. He has become a Conservative version of Trudeau saying and promising everything and anything to get votes. I want a leader that stands for core beliefs come hell or high water.

‘Unfortunately for Canada, I see another 4 years of social and economic stupidity on a grand scale under Trudope before Canadians finally say..WTF !!

You're feelings regarding a PM Sheer are certainly shared widely Jaydee.

It seems perfectly clear to me anyway that Canada does not have the ability to withstand another four years of liberalism; by then there'll be nothing left resembling the Country we once knew, which is the apparent end game envisioned by Soros et al.

After three plus decades of hammering, Canadians have been conditioned to believe they must be politically correct at all times.

IOW's, the people are blind to reality, meek, quiet and compliant little mice who like Nero before them are now only able to fiddle while the fire rages.

No one seems to see a savior on the horizon either, which means the Country is likely to continue it's unchecked slide into ruin.

The future of young Canadians looks increasingly bleak.

I can just see Deicer literally drooling over their website waiting to pounce with their next faked, biased bigoted poll.

“ All conservatives are the same, and they are all awful. At least that’s the analysis from the Nate Silver, editor-in-chief of the polling powerhouse FiveThirtyEight.

Something must be wrong with Facebook, Silver seemed to say Monday, because the top stories on the site were from predominantly right-of-center outlets. The top two pieces traffic-wise came from conservative columnist and editor of the Daily Wire, Ben Shapiro, and the third from the Daily Caller. Apparently, this is evidence the social network has abandoned its social responsibility.”

Except the problem doesn’t seem to be with Facebook. An embarrassment for the pollster, the problem is with Silver and the sneering thousands who thoughtlessly retweeted him.

At least in this case, Silver assumes anyone who doesn’t think the way he does must be out of the mainstream. This is a problem that a lot of liberals suffer from. It explains the Trump presidency. Silver doesn’t offer up his preferred solution to the popularity of conservative viewpoints. But going by his tweets, he seems to be suggesting that Facebook should censor or tone down Shapiro.

This would be a mistake. Shapiro and his Daily Wire have achieved massive success because they offer a well-reasoned alternative to leftist ideas. Not long ago, Caitlin Flanagan wrote in the Atlantic about another conservative, a fellow traveler of Shapiro’s on the so-called dark web, in a piece called, “Why the Left is so afraid of Jordan Peterson.”

That psychology professor has gained a cult following in the millions with his podcasts, his writings, and his speeches because of his critique of identity politics. And it hit close to home for Flanagan. She was surprised to discover that her college-aged son subscribed to Peterson.

Recovering from her shock, her conclusion was spot on. The conservative offers something different than the normal liberal regurgitation on race, class, and gender, she wrote. That ideology, which she had assumed to be mainstream, is dying outside the ivory tower — as Flanagan put it, its “doomsday clock clicks closer to the end.”

The appeal is the same with Shapiro, who has a larger audience than Peterson and arguably a more coherent political philosophy. He offers something both cogent and different than the rest of the pundits, and that is why he succeeds. Just look at the Facebook algorithm that Silver bemoans.

Earlier this spring, Facebook changed its algorithm to favor posts with “meaningful interactions." The more users commented on a post, reacted to it, and shared the link, the more likely it was to rise to the top of newsfeeds. Hence, the Shapiro and Daily Caller posts. In short, their brand of journalism is popular because people like it.

And to be honest, Facebook (and the Right) could do a lot worse than these two outlets.

Shapiro is not some conspiracy-mongering, supplement-addled maniac like Alex Jones. The Daily Caller is not a manure spreader like InfoWars. Shapiro has been the subject of profiles in the New York Times, the Wall Street Journal, and the Associated Press because of his ideas. He is invited to speak in forums all over the country because he is worth hearing. And the Daily Caller has also been cited in each of those same outlets because of its reporting.

A large swath of the country, that often-forgotten geography forgotten between the coasts, reads something different from what they read in D.C. and Los Angeles. If Silver and company want to understand the country, they shouldn’t be so dismissive.

Calgary schools had to take buses off the road because carbon tax levy cost $3.3M last year.

A public school trustee is asking if the province would consider exempting school boards from the carbon tax after administrators revealed this week that the Calgary Board of Education paid about $3.3 million last year for the levy and has been forced to take buses off the roads.

“I was interested to see the premier just announce a rebate to drilling companies, and am interested to hear if they have any plans to do so for school boards,” said Lisa Davis, public school trustee for Wards 6 and 7.

Last week, Premier Rachel Notley announced that oil and gas drillers across Alberta will receive an exemption from clear fuel used on site for drilling, adding they will also be eligible for rebates back to when the carbon tax came into effect in January 2017.

But CBE administrators revealed this week that the school board is also being hard hit by the carbon tax, after Dany Breton, CBE superintendent for facilities and environmental services, estimated a series of costs tied to the levy.

Breton, in response to questions from Davis about the CBE’s audited financial statements from 2017-18, estimated the CBE pays about $300,000 in a given school year for the carbon tax on transportation fuel, including school buses, about $1.4 million a year for natural gas to heat CBE buildings and a rough estimate of about $1.5 million for electricity, totalling up to about $3.3 million a year. Davis argued the $3.3 million makes up nearly 25 per cent of the $13-million deficit in funding the CBE struggled with in its operating budget this year.

The $300,000 affecting the transportation budget, she said, has essentially forced the school board to take just over five buses, which operate at a cost of $55,000 a year, out of circulation, affecting nearly 400 students, or about 80 kids per bus. As a result, fewer buses have meant fewer stops, longer commutes and more difficult schedules for families. Many students have also been transferred to public transit.

“Busing has been such a challenge for families, adjusting to schedules. It’s a bit challenging that we’re in a situation where we’ve had to remove almost 400 students from buses in order to pay for the carbon tax in addition to the other impacts on the organization.

Migrant group demands Trump either let them in or pay them each $50G to turn around: report

Two groups of Central American migrants marched to the U.S. Consulate in Tijuana on Tuesday with a list of demands, with one group delivering an ultimatum to the Trump administration: either let them in the U.S. or pay them $50,000 each to go home, a report said.

Among other demands were that deportations be halted and that asylum seekers be processed faster and in greater numbers, the San Diego Union-Tribune reported.

The first group of caravan members, which included about 100 migrants, arrived at the consulate around 11 a.m. Alfonso Guerreo Ulloa, an organizer from Honduras, said the $50,000 figure was chosen as a group.

“It may seem like a lot of money to you,” Ulloa told the paper. “But it is a small sum compared to everything the United States has stolen from Honduras.”

He said the money would allow the migrants to return home and start a small business.

A letter from the group criticized U.S. intervention in Central America and asked the U.S. to remove Honduran President Orlando Hernandez from office. They gave the consulate 72 hours to respond.

A letter from the second group of about 50 migrants arrived at the consulate around 1:20 p.m. asking the U.S. to speed up the asylum process and to admit up to 300 asylum seekers each day at the San Ysidro Port of Entry in San Diego. Currently, around 40 to 100 are admitted.
