Ten years ago, Europe s business aviation industry was basking in one of the most prosperous periods in its history, with booming sales, a healthy order pipeline and high aircraft utilisation. These halcyon days ended abruptly a year later with the onset of the global financial crisis, leaving the sector reeling from one of its most painful and protracted downturns ever.
