Moon The Loon
Was never much of a fan until I heard this: and this: and finally: God Rest Ye In Peace, With Thanks, Leonard.
Specs
Seems I wasn't the only one that song struck a chord with. Never really understood the rest of the song but the words below hit home the moment I heard them. I always though this was a great epitath for most folks. I did my best, it wasn't much I couldn't feel, so I tried to touch I've told the truth, I didn't come to fool you And even though It all went wrong I'll stand before the Lord of Song With nothing on my tongue but Hallelujah (love the KD lang version)
Kip Powick
So very sad. I have the CD of his last concert in London The band, the singers, and Leonard were at the top of their game during that gig. He will be missed by so many
blues deville
Another longtime Canadian favorite has left us. There is a good documentary making the cable tv rounds lately all about the early sixties NYC folk scene where he made his start. I recall reading how one of his managers stole millions from Cohen and although he won a law suit in court, the manager never re-paid the lost money. Seems to be common issue with artists of that era who allowed others to have some control of their finances.
