conehead
The F-35 and its powerful single engine were supposed to be the highlight of this weeks Farnborough International Airshow, the worlds coming-out party for new models of aircraft. Instead, the aprons at this executive airport near London are occupied by the F-35s twin-engine competitors, all of them proven and ready to fly.http://www.theglobeandmail.com/globe-debate/why-a-single-failing-grounded-the-f-35/article19639382/
Maverick
There's a few military programs out there that have been successfully deployed as dual service with one (The F-4 Phantom) that have been effective three service aircraft. However none have had as diverse a requirement load as the F-35 and it seems that it's not up the task and the VTOL part has killed it as an effective fighter.Lockheed-Martin must be seriously over budget on hookers and blow to keep these countries from dropping out...
