anonymous
HiI am doing some research for a friend on their first flight ever...It was on March 4, 1971 YSB-YYZ and then return YYZ-YSB on March 5th. I checked with my contacts in AC Flt Dx and a couple of other places and no one seems to know of any archive or source to look up info on that flight...What I would like is to try and figure the actual flight numbers, times, etc...Anyone have a old schedule from that time?If someone had an archive, ticket cost, the aircraft registration and crew would be great details too.Anyone with any ideas? Don Hudson
anonymous; This site, http://www.timetableimages.com/ttimages/complete/complete.htm, has a number of airline schedules in pdf format. Air Canada's schedules are at http://www.timetableimages.com/ttimages/ac.htm sometimes with just the cover, sometimes with a link to the entire schedule. The closest full schedule is April 1970, at http://www.timetableimages.com/ttimages/ac/ac70.pdf
melcrothers
The electronic reservation data would have been on the RES 2 system and data purged in 1976. ( 5 years ) The marketing archives may have copies of the old paper skeds that you could possiblyget copies of.
anonymous
thanks for the replies...I had seen the timetable site but the referenced Air Canada timetable is international sked only...

cp fa
That was back in the days of hand written pilot log books. Maybe start with what aircraft type it was, then who do we know that was flying that type at the time, then maybe contact RAPCAN to see if anyone has those flights in their log book? melcrothers
I started in 1968 and RES 1 was AC's system. When PW went automated in 1973, we went onto RES 2 and AC had be on it for a year when we started.
