He was a BC heli logger who'd been laid off and was using that heavy lift experience in Afganistan. He looked like the guy next door.As I recall, it was 30 days on, 30 days back in Canada.He said the US pilots simply didn't have the heavy lift experience of the Cdn heli logger guys.The stories he told were unbelievable especially those that involved the US pilots who's days started about the time his ended, and who's ships were very black and armed to the teeth, with some particularly tough looking passengers who never looked the civvy guys in the eye.
