The covers all seem pretty good but seem to suggest different stories. Number three looks like it would have a strong corporate/lawyer theme while numbers four, five and six look like end-of-civilization survival stories. I don't like number one - it looks ill-defined, takes too much time to pick out some of the details. Number two puts a strong emphasis on the "Marshall" part of the story (don't know if this is your intent). I guess in order to vote I would need to know something about the story but short of that I'd say pick the one that most accurately matches the overall story.

Awesome thanks for the feedback. Below is the book blurb.

Sudden Deception: A Jill Oliver Thriller is a fast paced suspense thriller about Jill Oliver a former remote viewer with the FBI, now a terrorist profiler for the US Marshal Special Operations Group who is intensely in love with David Brown, her new husband. David disappears on assignment in Doha, Qatar and Jill begins her journey of tracking her new husband through several Middle Eastern countries with peril only a half a step behind her. Her only hope is the help of a mysterious and handsome Arabian man who escorts her through her journey to the foothills of Kuska on the Turkmenistan/Afghanistan border.

Agree with Seeker. Not knowing the story (is it futuristic?), #3 seemed to have a nice balance of title/character/author and locale.

If on the other hand it IS futuristic, I could revote!

I went for # 3

FWIW....

Personally I don't like the authors name bigger, or more outstanding than the title of the book

I agree...#4 #5 and #6 look like the story takes place with the onset of Armageddon

#1 is just 'blah"

# 2..badge is too big

All the very best with the book :Grin-Nod:

There's a typo on sample # 1, Judy! I agree that # 3 is the best one.

Can't wait to read about my "cousin's" big adventure! ;)

Yeah I know. Waiting to see who wins the contest before I ask the designer to do more work. Interesting initials the protagonist has! LOL!

Yes, I'd say colour makes a difference. That middle one stands out at me... grabs my eye, so to speak.

I can't wait to read it.... Did Jill ever meet up with Travis McGee I wonder? (Familiar with John D. MacDonald?) ;)

I have a few questions about the novel; I'm assuming that you wrote it, is this correct? Is it your first or are there other "Jill Oliver" novels out there? Do you have a publisher or are you going with the self-published e-book format I have been hearing so much about lately? I wish you success and will absolutely buy a copy no matter how you are distributing it. thumbup.gif

Nope she didn't but she does meet up with a character called Matthew McGregor. He's brutal.

You bet, yes I wrote it. Below is the info on the series. Matthew McGregor, I've been told by my editor, is too big for a back story. He's woven throughout to show Jill's character development but the story of him was too cool to put down, hence the novella.

I will pitching tradition publishers and the kindle version will be ready in August.

Jill Oliver Thriller Series

Sudden Deception - Kindle release date summer 2011

Matthew McGregor: A Companion Novella - fall 2011

Indecent Deception - Release date spring 2012

Final Deception - Release date spring 2013

So it's a trilogy! Being a guy, I'm most curious as to what is "indecent" in the second one.

While investigating money laundering for Europol she stumbles across a nasty sex slave ring.

The Middle East, a sex slave operation and money laundering? Sounds like the suspense novel writer's trifecta! Cast Liam Neeson and Jessica Alba as the two leads and you're looking at buying a private island in the Bahamas! I really think you should change the name of the last book though - if it takes off you don't want to be limited to only three!
