Super 80
Or cynically their application might have been a ruse hoping to be declined as to further Air Canada's remarkably unsuccessful (and alienating) anti-Porter campaign at the USDOT. But there goes another one of Bean's irrefutable Porter predictions... an influx of US carriers looking to crush the interloper in their hub cities...As for preclearance at YTZ, that is very unlikely - the budget axeman is on the loose and several airports are already in jeopardy of losing preclearance. CBP has also found that (like most Canadians) nobody volunteers to work in Edmonton or Winnipeg and substantial incentives are required to staff them.
