blues deville
My daughter checked in for WS728 (YYC-YYZ) tonight and was advised there would be no TV entertainment during the flight. The agents advised passengers to purchase some magazines before boarding. When in her seat my daughter messaged saying the TV screens were not even installed. I replied saying it might be a new aircraft but I was only guessing. Is it normal for WestJet to put aircraft into service without the entertainment system? Apparently it had winglets so would that be a -700 or -800?bd
CanadaEH
It's normal. The aircraft will probably be going down to get TV's installed within the week (-800, tail 816).

yul07
Just wondering is WS going to upgrade the systems. The screens looked pretty puny compaired to the AVOD on AC- the one that hardly works. The format is also wrong as most broadcasters originate material in the 16x9 format, and the WS screens are 4 x 3.
