ModerateChop
Air Canada is suspending flights effective May 1 on a number of routes that it says are no longer profitable with fuel prices this high. Those include Ottawa to Thunder Bay, Ottawa to Washington Dulles, Montreal to Washington Dulles, Calgary to Chicago, Calgary to San Francisco, and Calgary to London, Ont.Dulles, Chicago, San Francisco .... all United fortress hubs. Is the Star Alliance replacing high cost Chorus with low cost American regional carriers on trans border routes ?
deicer
I guess it's a good thing that AC is the first out of the gate to recognise what is happening and react. Hopefully it bodes well for a better managed operation.Iceman
