Sounds more like Bush really was told that there were WMD in Iraq. And so many had said that he made it up. And we know that Iraq really did have them previously. In the end a much less hostile government that is not threatening all its neighbours is now there and the future will no doubt improve. Unfortunate that they had to start killing each other when given the opportunity but that was always inevitable with those people with that history from that part of the world.

Looks like America really did win the war, just took a little longer than planned.

This isn't a new revelation - 60 Minutes reported on Curveball back in 2007, and the Americans weren't "duped". The Bush administration was looking for a reason to invade Iraq, and George Tenet, the head of the CIA helped them find it. The CIA agents who investigated Curveball's info knew it was bogus, or at least not credible, but their reports were ignored. When this became public knowledge in 2003, the Bush administration retaliated by outing Valerie Plame.

This guy didn't dupe anyone, he's just another scapegoat.

During the "edited to make himself look good" interview, (but hey, Fox has never done any creative editing) BillO claims to be a logical thinker. Just a few moments later he claimed that he believed then as he does now, that the war was justifiable based upon what we "know". Well, there's the rub. It isn't what you don't know that is going to hurt you, it's what you know that isn't so. I don't find myself plunked down in front of the tv machine ingesting the "news" as Fox spins it and I endeavour to find multiple sources that contradict each other but zip, if you do, that's your business. If you can't decipher the syllogistic fallacies for yourself then I suggest picking up a good tome on non-mathematical logic. It may not change your beliefs (in fact I hardly think it will) but it might make you think a little more thoroughly before pressing the post button.
