Kip Powick
That's impressive! That is an updated version of the BellHop and the Hotel Manager. It is a relatively old trick and many 'magicans' change the set up to tell a different story. The trick can also be called ' Sam the Bell Hop'.The set up is the most important and the "appearance" of random shuffling is critical. This link can explain it better than I can, I have tried it, but what I found, which is a common problem with beginners, is the different methods of shuffling....that look like real shuffling but are not. If one has big hands...and I do not...the trick is much easier to do.Trick Link
Kip Powick
How the heck did he dislocate his shoulder? I didn't even pass the IQ test Practice Moon...practice..practice....You are execute each move as you are telling the spectator what to do*1. Please put both of your arms straight out in front of you with both palms facing down.2. Now take your right arm and cross it over your left, palms still facing down.3. Next rotate each hand so the palms are facing each other and the thumbs are point down to the floor.4. Now from this position simply bring both hands together, interlock your fingers and keep the thumbs pointing down.5. Do this! from here the spectators are locked up and in no way can they rotate their interlocked hands so their thumbs are pointing up. But you can!Secret Move: In position before the interlocking of the fingers is where the move is executed. You are standing there with your right arm crossed over your left with both palms facing each other and thumbs pointing down. Wiggle your fingers as you tell them to simply bring both palms together and interlock their fingers and keep the thumbs pointing down.As you are bring your hands together quickly rotate you left hand in the position its in 360 degrees counter-clockwise or as close to 360 degrees as you can get. You can use the thumb of the right hand to apply preasure to the left thumb and hand to make it look as straight up and down as possible. What you have just done is cocked and loaded you hands for the stunning release. The spectators think they did exactly as you told them. From this point all you have to do is rotate you interlocked fingers with thumbs pointing down clockwise 180 degrees and your spectators minds will be fried as they stand there locked by their own arms and hands. This is a bit of an awkward move that will take some practing and flexibility to feel comfortable. Be carefull when attempting this, don't put more preasure on your cocked hand than you can take. You can seriously injure your wrists by trying to do too much too soon. After a little time and practice the secret move will be very comfortable and feel like second nature. Then you have an incredible mind blowing illusion that you can do anytime, anwhere under any circumstances. The only props you need are hanging off your shoulders
