Sabre vs AA

GDR

It's been quite a while since Sabre has had any connection with AMR. The assumption that they are still connected is not unlike the assumption that AC is still a crown corporation or Jazz is part of AC. Some perceptual connections are hard to break.

Sabre, Amadeus, Galileo and Worldspan were all started by airlines. They were set up with fees and contracts to make themselves very profitable at the cost of the airlines who started them. The airlines have now decided enough.

American Airlines is just making the news but the rest of the air carriers are doing the same thing with the contracts that they have with every GDS.
