Super 80
Maybe they should get on the rebranding bandwagon too, how about Oedipus?
Moon The Loon
I thought Sabre, like American Airlines, was just a company run by a parent. The same parent. Can't remember its name though

inchman
It's been quite a while since Sabre has had any connection with AMR. The assumption that they are still connected is not unlike the assumption that AC is still a crown corporation or Jazz is part of AC. Some perceptual connections are hard to break.>>> From Wikipedia <<<<Sabre Holdings grew out of American Airlines and spun off with an IPO on March 15, 2000. It now employs approximately 9,000 people worldwide.[2] It is headquartered in Southlake, Texas. On December 12, 2006, private-equity firms TPG Capital and Silver Lake Partners announced a deal to buy Sabre Holdings Corp. for about $4.5 billion in cash, plus the assumption of $550 million in debt. Sabre joined its three primary GDS competitors, Galileo, Amadeus, and Worldspan, as being privately owned. On June 6, 2007 Sabre Holdings acquired Bethesda-based E-site Marketing, which specializes in online business applications for the hospitality industry. On September 28, 2010 Sabre Holdings acquired Austrian Flight planning company f:wz aviation software GmbH.<<<
Fido
Sabre, Amadeus, Galileo and Worldspan were all started by airlines. They were set up with fees and contracts to make themselves very profitable at the cost of the airlines who started them. The airlines have now decided enough.American Airlines is just making the news but the rest of the air carriers are doing the same thing with the contracts that they have with every GDS.
