AIP
Hey Spinny; You should buy it.With the demise of the WJ pioneered Flight Deck Bar and Grill in YYC, perhaps you could turn it into a bar !!

E-HANDLE
My favourite of the original 3. Flew straight, and it was light on the controls. This airplane was CF-PWE with Pacific Western, the first combi they operated. It once flew the Queen of England into the arctic, don'cha know. A true historical artifact (to airplane folks, anyway). At $500k, a little too pricey, but I'd love one of the control wheels.
Spinnaker
Hey Spinny; You should buy it.With the demise of the WJ pioneered Flight Deck Bar and Grill in YYC, perhaps you could turn it into a bar !!Better off that E-Handle buy it... he's got the single digit seniority that gave that pay grade. melcrothers
If that was PW's first combie - then it was tail # 732, and it had the record for the highest rotations of any B737-200 including Aloha. She spent some time in Africa in the early 80's.
SkyBlazer
Man that a/c in particular handled just great ! Now that was flying !SB
Maverick
Max Taxi: 110,000 LBS. Max Zero Fuel: 88,000 LBS.Max Take-off: 117,000 LBS. Max Landing: 98,000 LBSThere's a bit of a glitch with that. IIRC the max taxi weight is correct with max takeoff of 109,000 lbs.Pretty much the reason why it was the first to leave the fleet...E-handle, W5 or one of the day one pilots could probably confirm that. W5
Yup. It went to Mexico. And it was indeed the one with the strange noises, but that is another story (to be left untold.....among a few others).
beaverboy
Wasn't it also the A/C that had a "special visitor" in the jumpseat leaving YYJ, pre 9/11?

Seeker
Pam? I've heard she's quite friendly and that she travels with a very large bodyguard - can't be much of a bodyguard though if he doesn't see the threat that a couple of pilots represent to his boss. J.O.
If she had a good bodyguard, he'd have kept her away from that twit Tommy Lee.
