737 Rudder Problems

It is surprising to meet that this would be printed in a Seattle paper. There are 5 parts to the story if you follow the links on the left side of the posted page.

At least it is finally doing something about it. IOf it is determoned they are liable iot will be a huge blow to Boeing.

Greg this is old news.

All new aircraft come with safeguards built into the rudder system to prevent these rudder hardover and rudder reversal occurances and all existing aircraft should have been modified by now. There was an AD issued but I cannot remember the compliance deadline but I would hazard a guess and say by 2003/4 all 737s had been modified.
