Tango Foxtrot
I will be travelling to Niagra Falls in a few weeks. Just looking for a little advise from you Toronto people, as to how to get from the airport to Niagra. The little bit I have found so far makes it look cheaper to just rent a car. Any advise or pointers? Much appreciated, thanks in advance. Tony!
J.O.
Hi Tony. The only ground transport company I know of is Niagara Airbus and it looks like their fare for one passenger from YYZ is around $112.00 return + taxes / surcharges. I guess it depends on how many days but car rental may indeed be your best option.

Tango Foxtrot
Thanks J.O. and Long Timer! There are three of us. Just thought I don't need a car while I am there, but it looks like renting is comparable to the bus or a cab. Seems a shame? Tony!
J.O.
It is too bad. If this were Europe you could probably get a train from the airport for around $60 return.

Tango Foxtrot
No doubt! It is such a beautiful area. Hope to get over to the Welland Canal and whatch a few ships go through the locks with my son. Is the aviation museum in Hamilton worth the drive? J.O.
In my opinion it's worth it, but I haven't been through in a few years. Depending on your flight schedule, it's not too far out of the way if you wanted to stop there on your drive to or from YYZ.

J.O.
I hope the Niagara tourism office is paying you a retainer!
Kip Powick
I hope the Niagara tourism office is paying you a retainer! No retainer, but 'deicer', like every other airline employee, has a lot of free time on his hands ...so has done all the touristy things
deicer
You guys are too funny Seriously, the reason I know so much about the area is over the last decade or so working with Scouts, we've taken in all these venues and more to educate the kids about their own backyard. The Warplane Heritage does an overnight camp for youth that is just awesome.Every fall at Fort George, there is a jamboree where 3,000 + youth take part in a recreation of the War of 1812.In Niagara Falls itself, not only are the Falls the main attraction. Try visiting the Buddhist Monestary on the parkway and see the 10,000 Buddha's they have. It's closed for the season, but the tour through the Adam Beck generating station is cool. All stuff I've learned and experienced by working with the kids.I recommend it to anyone.Iceman
