The Obama Deception

From the sound track". . . even if Barack Obama was the most capable person in the world he was groomed and brought to power to carry out their [business's] agenda"

It is a carefully edited collection of clips of raving hyperbole and crafted interviews accompanied by "danger-music" that invokes the standard conspiratorial tone with dark, unfounded accusations of theft, larceny, lies, secret meetings of bankers and deception that attempts to pass off the work as serious documentary research. It is absolutely in standard form for such American productions which target their leaders. It is anti-Fed, pro-Greenspan but is warning viewers against "big business" and the Federal Reserve. It operates on the notion first formally broached by Taylor Caldwell in "The Captains and the Kings" (a poorly-disguised story of the Kennedy family), that secret cabals of bankers and others arrange the affairs of the world, including wars, operating, supra-nation, beyond the reach but with the complicty of the US government.

For the naive and ignorant it is a compelling and powerful video.

I suspect the reality is far more interesting and sinister but this kind of crap seems to assuage the need for anger, blame and too much attention in the wrong places.

It is both amazing and disheartening the amount of hatred and smallmindedness that is coming out of the Right Wing in the U.S. and that is spilling into Canada.

When you have a major broadcaster (Rush Limbaugh) openly stating he wished this president to fail, I feel it is truly the indicator that their society has fractured so much that they are doomed to fail. And it is only being fed and stirred up by other media outlets such as Fox news.

If I could only share with you all the narrowminded drivel I get from a friend, who is republican, who lives in North Carolina. It is amazing how childish it really is.

Their society will never be the same and if this level of animosity keeps up, it may lead to the next civil war in the states.

We are finally starting to see the end result of the agenda to restrict education within the United States.

Well, this thread is certainly insightful.

For any pilot who is getting close to retirement listen up: Don's post cracks open the door to the old folk's home so we can see what goes on.

And what we see are a gaggle of retirees hunched over computer terminals watching "carefully edited collection of clips of raving hyperbole and crafted interviews".

Ah, what fun the future holds.

So far for Obama. Job well done.

Stimulus package....experts seem to say it is needed. It goes against my view of deficits but these are not normal times. Talked about reducing the deficit over the long term. Good talk about reducing earmarks which are huge moneywasters from both parties. Counting the war spending in the budget now. Talks the talk anyways of reducing government waste.

Medical plan...seems like something that should be inevitable for America. The working poor are the ones who have no coverage. Doesn't make sense.

Taxes...they have to be raised. I was always against Bush's reduction for the highest income earners only. Lower taxes is a good long term goal when you can afford it. They can't afford it now.

Bipartisanship....at least attempting it from the inauguration to keeping Gates as defence secretery and of course...General Petraeus.

Foreign policy....not following through on far left silliness of leaving Iraq right away. A controlled exit with options and some troops being left behind as needed. Even McCain agrees with his policy. Afghanistan being ramped up as is necessary. Several drone attacks in Pakistan as have been required since he took office. Not being seen as a pushover.

Iran....willing to talk but will use sanctions as will likely be required.

Russia...cosying up for specific reasons mainly their veto for sanctions on Iran. Missile deployment in eastern Europe can be the carrot, after all it is only there for intercepting missiles from the likes of Iran. Besides, its inevitable deployment can be done in the future by someone else with a better system.

Middle East...ignoring Hamas as they should be. They will destroy Israel if ever possible. Long term policy...not yet known.

Energy policy....committed to getting the U.S. and hopefully the world off oil and all the money going to despicable tyrants around the world. Of critical importance.

Education policy...spending more money(hopefully wisely) and willing to take on the teachers unions(at least in words) about getting rid of incompetent teachers because education is too important.

Guantanamo...it is being closed but each prisoner will be analyzed on a case by case basis as they should be so it won't close immediately.

Science....not controlled by bible thumping religious types trying to force their morals on us. Stem-cell research funding renewed.

So far...mostly common sense.

GOOD WORK BARACK.
