I am visiting and they have given me another monitor to attach to so that I'm not suck looking at the laptop screen all the time. However, it extends my desktop onto the other monitor and I can't seem to get rid of this checkmark (see image). I've tried unchecking it but it just keeps coming back. MAYDAY Posted July 21, 2005 Share Posted July 21, 2005 There should be a Function key combination to transfer the display from your integrated LCD to the external monitor. You should not even have to touch the display control panel. On my dell notebook it is Fn-F8 but every laptop is different. Look along your F keys and you should either see a monitor style symbol or CRT/LCD text on one of the keys. Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
