A simple question

Your response didn't address the question asked. You only presumed a racist intent and reacted with venom.

Montreal may well be a fine place for a head office, but so too might any of hundreds of other places that AC is not allowed to have their head office... Why?

So then, why react so nastily to such an obviously fair question?

In spite of your earlier attempt to explain away your apparent abrasive and arrogant manner, I think you have a sufficient command of the English language to know you were quite rude with your response. It appears to me that with some of your posts here, you're like a boxer who's psyched up and ready to fight, standing in the middle of a social gathering. Why not take the gloves off and join in some civil conversation?

Sure. I prepared a client's tax return about three years ago who had just moved to Toronto from Montreal. The client asked me to prepare his return first as if he was still a resident of Quebec, and then prepare a return as a resident in Ontario so he could compare the difference (for nothing more than his own interests). On a six-figure income, he would have paid $6k more if he was still a resident of Quebec.

"Please support your claim because I believe it is wrong"

This is a joke right!I am a former quebecer, been in Ontario 7 years now, I take home much more on my pay that I did while in Quebec, this has been the norm since day one in Ontario.

If Montreal is such a great place to have a head office, one must wonder why Air Canada must be mandated to have one there under the ACPPA. After all, if it's so great, they would be there without government fiat, wouldn't they? If Montreal is so great though, one must also wonder why so many more head offices chose to locate in Toronto. Maybe: tax regime, infrastructure, non-separatist/socialist government? Can't be the weather. Also must make one wonder why more head offices chose to locate in Calgary than Montreal. Cheaper beef and gasoline? Better access to accurate business analysts?

It is flattering to know that jkavafian thinks i'm a big idiot. When a self-serving, a$$ kissing, uninformed individual with no integrity, takes offence at my view point, then thats probably a good sign for me. So... to recap.... in your mind, i'm an idiot and David Collenette is one of the smartest people you have ever met.

I never said Montreal wasn't a great city, you just assumed something in order to support your odd racist insinuations. Even if i did think Montreal was a horrible place, i still don't see the connection to 'hood wearing'.

My only question is why is it necessary to mandate that AC has their head office there (or any city for that matter)? Perhaps there is no answer for that except the obvious political reasons. If you have an answer i'm more than willing to listen, in spite of your venom.

Clearly you have an issue with me which is likely due to my small contribution in exposing you for who you really are.

You did what you felt was necessary in your life to achieve your 'so called' 20 years of success. Personally I wouldn't be able to sleep at night but we are clearly two different types of human beings.

I'm sorry if things have recently taken a turn for the worse in your life but perhaps you still have time to make amends for past indiscretions. Even at your age and considering your track record, its never too late.... in my opinion.

I have no anger towards you, just pity.
