J.O.
SKYSERVICE TO LAUNCH DIRECT SERVICE TORONTO - MOSCOW TORONTO FEBRUARY 15, 2005 – Skyservice Airlines expects to inaugurate direct scheduled airline service from Toronto to Moscow this spring. The new service, operating up to three times a week by Boeing aircraft, will feature Skyservice’s renowned in-flight service, including hot meals and in-flight entertainment. “Transport Minister Jean Lapierre’s route award provides Skyservice and its tour and travel partners with increased opportunities, and strengthens Canada’s overall international air presence,” said Russ Payson, Chairman and CEO of Skyservice. “We have many years experience flying charter flights to a number of European destinations and we look forward to quickly establishing Toronto-Moscow as a popular choice for travelers.” Payson emphasized that the new service, the first scheduled international route for the Toronto-based airline, will complement the existing range of services offered by his carrier. “We shall continue to work with our partners in support of their all-inclusive products that are already in the marketplace,” he said. “The addition of Moscow to our network provides more opportunities to our partners and offers exciting vacation experiences for travelers.” Skyservice Airlines carries over one million passengers annually and currently operates a fleet of 25 aircraft including Airbus A-319’s, A-320’s and Boeing B-757’s to popular vacation destinations in Canada, the United States, the Caribbean, Mexico and Europe. In addition to its current fleet, Skyservice will be introducing two Boeing B-767 aircraft in May 2005.
