BOSTON (AP) -- A Delta Air Lines worker was struck and killed by a de-icing

truck Tuesday at Logan Airport.

The 44-year-old man was walking on the tarmac around daybreak when he

stepped into the path of a truck used to remove ice from aircraft,

authorities said.

The truck was driven by another Delta employee who had worked with the man

for several years, said David Procopio, a spokesman for the district

attorney's office.

No immediate charges were filed.

"At this point, all the evidence points to this being a horrible, horrible

accident," Procopio said.

The driver was hospitalized with stress-related symptoms, Procopio said.

The victim was identified as Henry Marshall, of Malden. A woman who answered

the phone at a number listed under that name declined to comment.

Are they kidding me? They looked up this guys phone number in the book and called it to get a comment from his family! That is most despicable thing I have ever heard. Shame, shame on you Mr. Reporter.

And the vest provides some kind of super powers that would stop a de-ice truck in its tracks thereby not injuring the person wearing it?

I did not ask for your smart a$$ reply. As we all know when things get busy at an airport and the weather kicks in the vest helps with visibility and can save lives.

Unlikely a vest would have helped in this situation. De-ice trucks are heavy and when the tarmac is slippery they don't stop on a dime.
