WestJet Announces New Publisher of Inflight Magazine

CALGARY, ALBERTA--(CCNMatthews - Dec. 2, 2004) - WestJet (TSX:WJA) today

announced that Calgary-based RedPoint Media Group Inc. has been named

the new publisher of its inflight magazine.

The first issue of Up! Magazine will be published and available on all

WestJet routes on March 1, 2005.

Dan Bowman, RedPoint's President and Publisher said today, "We are

extremely excited to be partnering with WestJet to produce its inflight

magazine. Readers and advertisers alike can expect a very dynamic and

diverse publication in the years and months to come."

RedPoint has named its Vice-President, Editorial Gary Davies as the new

General Manager of Up! Magazine. Tom Gierasimczuk has been named the new

Editor, and RedPoint Creative Director Anders Knudsen will serve as the

publication's Art Director.

Siobhan Vinish, WestJet's Director, Public Relations and Communications,

said today, "WestJet is pleased to have the opportunity to work with

RedPoint and we are very excited about launching our new inflight

magazine next March. I am confident our guests will truly enjoy reading

Up! Magazine."

McGowan Intermac Inc./Publicitas North America has been hired by

RedPoint as its national advertising representative for Up! Magazine.

Advertising sales for the inaugural issue of Up! Magazine close on

January 14, 2005.

Calgary-based Creative Intelligence Agency, WestJet's Agency of Record

for the last nine years, is partnering with RedPoint on this publication.

RedPoint Media Group Inc., Alberta's largest independent magazine

publisher, produces such well-known and award-winning titles as Avenue

magazine, Calgary.Inc magazine and Wine Access magazine. The

nine-year-old company is also an extensive corporate publisher producing
