  1. I've never noticed the groomers clean the trays on our airplanes at Jazz.
  2. Not a good time to try and check-in for a d/h YVR-YUL for tomorrow morning. Seems like the site is a bit busy at the moment... "This site says... The system is currently experiencing high volumes of traffic. We are unable to process your request at this time. Please try again in 30 minutes. (Err: 10001)"
  3. Pilots know how to fly the airplane....FE’s know how to keep the engines running...?
  4. Crew walked away....check Aircraft still usable.....check High fives and back slapping complete....check ”Nice work!”
  5. AC has two airplanes at the YVR south hanger. WJ has one parked on the south ramp. That’s all I saw today.

  7. I say good on him for quick thinking and preventing further damage. Sometimes you just have to react and not waste time thinking about the repercussions. If the catering vehicle had just been allowed to spiral out of control and crashed into the aircraft, there will be cries of “Why didn’t someone DO something?”
  8. History of the 737: https://www.businessinsider.com/boeing-737-history-photos-airlines-2019-9#in-july-american-airlines-announced-an-order-for-130-a320ceo-and-130-a320neo-jets-with-an-option-for-365-more-it-also-said-that-it-would-order-100-of-boeings-not-quite-ready-next-generation-737-until-that-point-american-airlines-had-exclusively-purchased-from-boeing-for-more-than-a-decade-boeing-knew-the-order-was-coming-and-tried-to-quickly-prepare-a-re-engined-737-to-offer-as-an-a320neo-alternative-29
  9. Apologies if this is the same article as Kasey posted to. I couldn’t get his to open. https://www.nytimes.com/2019/09/18/magazine/boeing-737-max-crashes.html
  10. I have never heard of this incident. Thanks for posting, Marshall.

  12. According to Wikipedia, CAIL did fly into LHR but no specific dates published.
  13. I can’t offer a video of the door blowing out but here’s one from a few years ago showing the 777 wing undergoing testing. Impressive to say the least...
  14. As deicer asks, it would be enlightening to know how much pressure was on the airframe when the door blew off.....but then that wouldn’t be nearly as news-worthy
  15. Memory is good, Innuendo. I remember flying to Gatwick on Canadian back in the 90’s. Much easier than Heathrow.
  16. I don’t believe this is a competition. All Max operators have been hit hard.
  17. https://www.npr.org/2019/09/03/757139724/satellite-imagery-shows-extent-of-devastating-flooding-on-grand-bahama-island These images show how much of the Bahamas is underwater
