  1. IMO it really doesn’t matter when WestJet reports anymore. Soon all the stock will be sold at $31. And most likely there will be no Q4 report.
  2. I really don’t think WestJet is concerned about Swoop's (descriptive) performance or customer treatment or even if it doesn’t make a profit. It’s sole purpose is to go against Flair and Canada Jetlines from eroding revenue from the mainline. Spirit wings, bare fare, service has equally a poor rating. Friends of mine fly on swoop to save $10! Vs flying on AC or WS. $1 fares on JetsGo(ne) denied WestJet employees their profit share twice. Both AC and Canadian went bankrupt after WestJet entered the market.
  3. You get what you pay for. Sorry no sympathy.
  4. I agree blues. We’ve used Air Transat many times paying for club out of YYZ and YUL. Excellent way to go. I think that for this deal to go thru some politician is going to get their hands greased.
  5. I just don’t know why Boeing didn’t update the 757 if the MAX 10 was going to have about the same #of seats. Then I’m not a Boeing engineer.

  7. As everyone can see there is a big rift between the opposing parties. Therefore, the hope of unity is distant at best. The ALPA MEC negotiators in their arrogance promised Delta wages or if arbitrated Air Canada's contract. They were out classed.
  8. Not only were they schooled , they were owned and the company still holds the cards. It was a concessenary contract.
  9. Seems like a classic case of overcontrolling.
  10. WestJet has successfully demonstrated the evacuation and ditching procedures to Transport Canada
  11. I want to see the log book entry and RTS.
  12. Either way it makes the press. Woe is me and the airline screwed up.
  13. Probably for the new to them 737ng for line indoctrination.
  14. Exactly, ALPA sold us out with delusional dreams. What we had was much better.
  15. All you need is the data plate to build an airplane.
  16. I believe it’s $.06 CASM. Aircraft are new, (warranty) and owned, crews are paid below legacy carriers. Ancillary revenue probably close to $100 per pax.
  17. Probably not equipped with GPS.
  18. Book directly with the airline.
  19. Probably at a discounted price.
