Jaydee
It's time for the industry to make an example of where stupidity gets you!Every one of these kids should get a minimum 10 year ban from flying. Maybe next time these "twits" might think twice.http://www.telegraph.co.uk/women/womens-life/10768104/Joke-bomb-threats-on-Twitter-The-most-terrifying-teenage-trend.html
conehead
Not the industry... Legal authorities should be prosecuting these idiots!
Seeker
Did you read any of the comments below the story? A lot of people, apparently are of the opinion that;1). they are only teenagers and that's what teenagers do....2). their actions, in calling in multiple bomb threats, are justified because they are trying to show the authorities that the initial response to the first bomb threat was an over-reaction.3). why would anybody take it seriously anyway since it's on Twitter and is obviously a joke so just relax already. Kip Powick
II agree with jaydee and would add that the parents/guardian get a vacation from being able to fly as well.(length of time to be determined)
Seeker
Actually, my favourite comment was that people should just call in bomb threats to Bieber concerts, etc, to cause the same sort of inconvenience to the teenage demographic as they are causing outside of it.Not that I encourage that, obviously. cp fa
The threat of being banned from flying would have no deterrent effect here. On the other hand, being banned from tweeting, loss of internet service... You gotta hit em where it hurts.
Mitch Cronin
The article included one "tweet" from a rather bright girl who chose her words much more carefully: "I bake really good pies and my friends call me 'the bomb', am I still allowed to fly” Now if they'd all been like that, their message might have been received in a different light.
